How the ratings work
- Every team started at 1500, which is the flight average.
- Games are counted in the order they were played. Each game can move a rating by up to 32 points, and more after a big win.
- A two-goal win counts 1.5 times as much as a one-goal win or a draw. A three-goal win counts 1.75 times as much, and an 11-goal win counts 2.75 times as much.
- A team rated 100 points higher is expected to earn about 64% of the points when the two teams play.
- There is no home-field adjustment.
